Why weekly?

Don’t know how it has happened, but my ramblings have become weekly at best. It’s not that I have nothing to say and more that I have no wifi and don’t get a decent 3g sig in my flat.

Went to London last week for a couple of days. I saw the play-which I enjoyed massively and caught up with my Southside friends in the pub. It did kill me a little bit to leave them at the end of the night. It was lovely to relax withpeople who know me fairly well. I am enjoying carving out a new life here, but I don’t know people well enough to relax when I’m out yet. It can be quite draining. You have to stay switched on- remembering names and that sort of thing.

I saw SJ Friday and had some dinner and a big chat. I can’t wait for her to visit. She loves Norwich so we can just enjoy the city and each others company for a weekend. Plus she can meet all the people I keep describing to her.

I heard from R on the train to London. Things progressed in their usual pleasant way. He does have the fabulous ability to cheer me right up and boost my confidence. Let’s face it, even pretty self sufficient girlies like to feel good about themselves.

Back here Saturday and had dinner with A, M and H. Then popped out to a couple of pubs. It was great to see somewhere else and the music there was my cup of tea. I did manage to upset K though. I was drunk and a bit inconsiderate. I shall try and build some bridges.

Had big family dinner at Pam & Eddies. Sam and the kids were there. I helped her sort her CV out and we ate and played games. It was a good day. I stayed a little later after the others had left and looked at their holiday plans and The Antiques Roadshow. It was a quiet domestic couple of hours, and soothed my soul in the extreme.

I have managed to get the form back that the HR company asked for on Thursday. I had no way ti print it until yesterday, which was a little frustrating. It could not be filled in electronically. They left me a VM today and the impression I got was that they were sorting the paperwork with a view to offering me a job. We shall see. I could quite easily have got the wrong end of the stick on that.

Generally I’m feeling OK. I am increasingly nervous about the lack of a job, but it’s not like I’m sitting on my bum doing nothing about it. Plus I’m keeping busy and keeping my skills fresh. I updated the Southside website and Box Office today. I shall continue my Mac research and prepare for Wednesdays interview tomorrow.

Let joy be unconfined! And you know what I’m only being a tiny bit sarcastic. :-)

Blessed Be
