In case you were wondering who this strange person reading your blog is… years ago I started my original Xanga in 2004 and you were one of the original friends I started out with. I happened to be browsing a blogring or something and recongzied your username! So I subscribed. Anyway I wanted to comment on this: “I don’t know if that makes me bright or just pig headed.”

I think you are probably bright! I was off and on depression meds for 10 years… everything from Paxil to Xanax to Cymbalta. In many ways they helped but other ways they were very bad… from a gradual 40-50 pound weight gain to total personality changes that weren’t always positive. Last year when I was going through my divorce I finally swore off the meds and don’t plan on looking back. So anyhow… you are missing nothing by choosing to not go the medicated route.
